IRANIAN DOUBLE-BILL FEATURES CHILD BLINDNESS, FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS AND MOUNTAINS BETWEEN IRAN AND TURKEY

This is the first of several Iranian double-bills that are being shown at this riverside location over September and October. The first film of this evening's double-bill is "Colour of Paradise" (2000, 88 mins). Directed by Mayid Mayidi it tells the story of a blind child, his family relationships and independence.

It is followed by the slightly shorter, "A Time for Drunken Horses" (2000, 80m), which features children on a mountainous journey near Kurdistan. Directed by Baham Ghobade, it has English subtitles. Only £5.50 (£4.50 for students) to see both films. Reservations can be made by ringing the box office on 020 8237 1111. Location: Riverside Studios, Crisp Road, W6. Nearest tube station: Hammersmith (Piccadilly, District and Hammersmith & City lines).
