December 10 2001, Monday, 6.30pmBAHAREQUE: FOLK MUSICIANS FROM BOLIVIA, COLOMBIA, ECUADOR, ENGLAND AND VENEZUELA PERFORM "LATIN AMERICAN RHYTHMS" AT OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF FIRST ALBUM"Conveying the Heart and Soul of
Latin Music" was what it said on the colourful promotional brochure we picked up
at a recent travel exhibition. Curious to know more, we got the fifteen-track CD
and listened to it. Everything was included on the easy-to-listen-to harp,
string, pipe and vocal compilation: from their title track "Estrellas Para Ti"
to the internationally renowned "Guantanamera."
And this evening you have a chance to join Latin music enthusiasts in attending the CD's official launch. Admission: £5 (to include a glass of "celebratory" wine). Tickets and CDs available from Mr Bongo (44 Poland Street, London, W1) or by phoning Jose (0207-731 3549) or Brendon (020-731 4565). You can always e-mail... for more information, if required. Concert location: Bolivar Hall, 54 Grafton Way, London, W1. Nearest tube: Warren Street tube station ticket office (Victoria and Northern lines).
