FINNISH BASS, JYRKI KORHONEN, SINGS ARIAS AND SONGS BY AUSTRIAN, GERMAN, ITALIAN AND RUSSIAN COMPOSERS

Pieces by composers from four countries - Austria, Germany, Italy and Russia (alphabetically correct and - co-incidentally, correct by order of composer's date of birth) will be amongst those performed by Finn, Jyrki Korhoven. Mozart and Beethoven, respectively, were born in the eighteenth century whilst Verdi and Tchaikovsky, also respectively, were born in the nineteenth century.

Jyrki and this evening's accompanying pianist, Vincenzo Scalera, were both born in more recent times. And if you have time this evening, you are invited to hear them both perform a selection of songs and arias from these four composers, born within eighty-four years of one another. Tickets range from £10 to £25 with concessions at £10. Location: St. John's, Smith Square (at end of Dean Stanley Street), London, SW1. Tube: Westminster (Jubilee, Circle and District lines).
