MUSEUM-BASED COURSE ON SIXTEENTH TO TWENTIETH CENTURY DESIGN

The first session of "New British Galleries Short Course" is a series of Saturday afternoons when attendees can learn all about the changes in design between the years 1500 and 1900. If you ever wanted to know how design has changed back as far as Tudor times, this is the course to come on. Themes to be looked at - throughout the course's three sessions, include "New Materials and New Lifestyles", "New Things and New Worlds" and "New Ways of Designing and New Ideas."

Each session will be followed by a demonstration of a particular technique. Price: £7.50 per session or £22.50 for the course's three sessions. Telephone 020 7942 2209 to reserve your place or for more information, if required. Location: Learning and Visitor Services, Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, South Kensington, London, SW7. Tube station: South Kensington (Piccadilly, Circle and District lines).
