July 2 2003, Wednesday, 6.45pm-7pm for 7.30pmBRIDEWELL THEATRE STAGES "THE BALLAD OF LITTLE JO" MUSICAL PLAY, ABOUT CHARACTER IN IDAHO'S SILVER MINESWe are grateful for hteL subscriber, Gordon Beal's e-mail message - recently sent through the Kensington International Society (KIS) e-mail group. Here is an extract of what he says, 'Meet Meet Gordon on Wednesday 2 July, between 6.45pm and 7pm, at Blackfriars tube station (District and Circle Lines, Zone 1) to go to the Bridewell Theatre, Bride Lane, for "The Ballad of Little Jo" at 7.30pm. This is based on the film of the same name, and is about a young woman who lived as a man in the silver mines of Idaho in the 1890s...'
About booking your seat, Gordon goes on to state, 'Book and pay the reduced price of £7.50 (seven pounds and fifty pence) in advance by calling the Box Office (open Tues to Sat from 12 to 6.30) on 020-7936 3456 and mentioning the "Gordon Beal" offer (the normal prices is £16.50. or £12.50 for concessions). You will be asked whether you wish to pay £2 extra for a reserved seat, but this is unnecessary, as we'll go early and try to get seats in the same area. We will collect the tickets on the night.'
